Basic Niche is built on honesty, transparency, and integrity, with a mission to simplify and strengthen the EEOICPA claims process for every client we serve.

As a one-stop shop, Basic Niche offers comprehensive claim management at the most competitive fees in the market—without compromising the quality or depth of our work. We manage every aspect of a claim, including employment evidence, records collection, communication with providers, the Department of Labor, impairment assistance, and a full review of all benefits available under the EEOICPA program.

Unlike others, Basic Niche views each patient as a whole. We conduct a complete evaluation of medical and employment history to identify all qualifying illnesses and consequential conditions, ensuring no eligible benefit is overlooked. Basic Niche assists physicians by formulating required information for letters and conducting the research the Department of Labor requires, protecting doctors’ time while strengthening each filing. With deep expertise in DOL policy and procedures, we confidently handle primary, consequential, survivor, and denied claims, offering second-opinion reviews for past denials regardless of disbursement status.

Basic Niche also maintains strong, trusted partnerships with providers, impairment offices, unions, and home health care agencies across covered areas. These relationships allow us to ensure the best care, timely referrals, and a smooth transition into approved benefits such as medical treatment, impairment ratings, and home care services.

Every partner we work with shares our commitment to the same high level of service, allowing Basic Niche to maximize outcomes while delivering consistent, client-centered support from start to finish.

A look into who you are working with,

Karisa,
Like a lot of people, my life and family were directly affected by illnesses caused by working at a DOE facility with radiation and chemical exposure. My grandfather was a fire suppression engineer at the Hanford site, my father was a painter and union representative at the Hanford site and in the Pacific Northwest. My mother started working on-site at Hanford at the age of 16.  I lost my grandfather to multiple cancers, including lung cancer, prostate cancer, and melanoma. He was awarded his white card through the EEOICPA program and was able to receive free home health care and treatment. I don’t know what my family would have done if it were not for the benefit of the program.
I am a local Tri-City girl born and raised in the area, and this is one way I want to give back to the community that built me and one that I am raising my family in.

The EEOICPA program offers amazing benefits for current and former DOE employees. The most difficult part of the process can be accessing those benefits. It is rewarding for me to assist workers and their families in achieving the freedoms the programs have to offer and the well-deserved benefits. The program is an amazing opportunity for many workers, but it is not always an easy progression.

This was the driving factor in my shift of careers and the drive to become an Authorized Representative. I want to help people attain the benefits and care they deserve. I am educated on all DOE sites across the United States and have had the privilege of visiting many of these sites.  I have a lot of amazing resources when it comes to education on the DOE sites, and linking the chemical or radiation exposures to you or your loved one's illness. I have an extensive medical background of over 15 years that allows me the upper hand in evaluating your case. I have assisted many workers through the rigors of the EEOICPA programs and have been able to assist in the expansion of their benefits. I am also able to assist family members in pursuing survivorship claims.

I look forward to working with you.
